construction and city planning

– Tree planting and investment in green areas, requires a lot of fencing! And that cost money! Need of funding.

– Urban planning is a big issue with a lot of coordination with the municipality and national development plans. We are looking for competence collaborations.

– Support and subsidies so that more families have the opportunity to build their own houses and gardens sustainably.

– Policy and strategies for inclusion, resource efficiency and disaster reduction are needed. We are looking for someone who can contribute by formulating such a policy based on our strategies.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Every effort we make, we try to work in close cooperation with local authorities and the municipality's development plan, cooperation with the village development council, as well as the municipal representatives in the village.

Building

We draw and build locally with as local materials as we can, functional, sustainable houses, in collaboration with local and international experts. We mainly use the beautiful red laterite stone, a soft rock that is cut directly from the ground. It hardens over time and thus provides a very durable construction. The country is very limited with wood, so only the guest houses have grass roofs. Other roof chairs are made with steel pipes.

City planning

Society is facing rapid change. The conditions will soon look different. Our village is so located that it will soon grow together with the provincial capital Ziniaré. The town planning of the village must therefore take this into account. We plan roads, walkways, drainage, paving

where we need to reduce the dust etc.

Green areas

To create green areas, we hedge our various activities. Since loose goats, sheep and donkeys eat up everything green, this is a must in order to have plants at all. We do not fence with walls that are otherwise common in the area, but fences that provide good transparency, for security reasons and beauty. This also give witness to the fact that it is possible to recreate green – when the animals are held out!
